Children’s Ministry – Update

To All Parents of MVC

We are so grateful for the families and children who are part of MVC—your presence brings life and joy to our worship services.
We understand that children/toddlers/babies can sometimes become restless or vocal during the service, and that is completely natural. To help create an environment where everyone can fully engage in the service, we kindly ask if your child becomes unsettled, that parent/s step out and make use of our nursery area and/or the foyer until they are settled.
Our nursery is a safe, welcoming space designed with both you and your child in mind, and we are happy to provide that option for your comfort and the benefit of all. The nursery also provides a speaker so parents can listen to the service.

Also, we would like to acknowledge all the parents who have graciously stepped up to facilitate and teach in the Children’s Ministry.  These amazing volunteers will provide the set up and tear down each week along with teaching.

Kelly and Lee will continue to provide oversight, supplies and fill in as needed.

Christmas in July? – It’s a bit early to discuss Christmas but…

  • We are 6 months away from Christmas.
  • If you like planning, decorating, organizing and would like to help please contact the church office at office@mariettavineyardchurch.org to be a part of the MVC Christmas Party Committee.

SUNDAY, JULY 26 – IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR ONE SUNDAY ONLY

  • We want to let everyone know about a location change for Sunday, July 26. Due to a scheduling conflict at Due West, we will be meeting in Building A – Due West for one Sunday only instead of our usual Building C sanctuary.

 

  • For everyone helping with early setup, Children’s/Nursery team, safety team, prayer team, worship team and staff set up please arrive at Building A at 12:00 noon sharp. We cannot set up before 12noon. Due West staff and members will be existing between services, and we’ll begin setting up as soon as they leave. Your prompt arrival will help us be ready to welcome everyone for service.

 

  • Worship Team/Sound/Media – Matt B. will be with us that day to assist media team with ProPresenter and the camera system, and he’ll also help our worship team set up with their needs.

 

  • For families, nursery and children’s classrooms will be available in the preschool area of Building A, and our children’s volunteers will help direct you to the appropriate rooms.

 

  • One small change for the day—NO COFFEE…we’ll be skipping the coffee station this Sunday, so you may want to grab your caffeine before you arrive!

 

  • The following Sunday August 2, we’ll be back in our usual Building C sanctuary.

Thank you for your flexibility and willingness to serve. If you have any questions, please let us know this week so we can get them answered. We look forward to worshiping with you in Building A on July 26!

  • A reminder that August 1, we need everyone to re-take their safe sanctuary quiz.
  • This in compliance with Due West Methodist Church policies.

Small Groups Fall 2026

  • There will be a short meeting with all small group leaders and hosts on Sunday, July 26, in FOYER OF BLDG. A, immediately after the service with Pastor Ron.  Please be sure to attend.
  • Small Groups start Wednesday, August 19.
  • We are studying the book of Philippians.
